Little Bo was once a woman with a strong sense of justice she turned her lover in even though she loved him very much, as she knew he was about to steal from the Fairy Godmother. She intended to abuse her new authority as queen to free her former lover, the Masked Man, whom she had betrayed once. Little Bo actually had a deeper agenda behind her promises. Her charisma brought the Hoodians under her banner and they elected her as their queen.Īccording to Red Riding Hood, she was reputed to be careless, forgetful and a bit of a klutz as a child (Red is referring to her losing her sheep), but these traits did not deter the citizens from voting for her she had matured and ran the large Bo Peep Farms, providing work and food to the people. Little Bo initially seemed to be idealistic, and claimed to want to improve her country's living conditions. She boldly challenged Queen Red's authority, showing no little amount of bravery in spite of her humble origins, and voiced that she can make things better for the kingdom. Little Bo Peep was confident, opinionated and powerful: as a respected and important part of the community, a lot of people felt inclined to obey her. She mainly wears a yellow shepherdess uniform with a matching hat, brown sandals, a heart-shaped chain around her neck, and always carries her shepherdess staff. She wore a matching yellow ruffled dress with a blue sash and carried a white shepherd's staff.īo Peep is a very beautiful woman with pale skin, big blue eyes, and medium-short, shoulder-length dark blonde hair. She had pale skin, blue eyes, and dark hair that was tucked underneath a yellow bonnet. She was a very beautiful and determined young woman, who seemed to be about the same age as Red. After she died of a broken heart the end of the story, she was a posthumous protagonist in the rest of the series, physically appearing once more in An Author's Odyssey, in the revised version of Bree Campbell's short story, Cemetery of the Undead. But, as the story progressed, she was revealed to have a more complex backstory, and more motives behind her actions then realized at first glance. Initially, Bo Peep served as one of the secondary antagonists (alongside Lieutenant Rembert, Colonel Baton, and Capitaine De Lange) in A Grimm Warning. She begged him not to unleash the Dragon, but he refused and she died of a literal broken heart. By then, the Masked Man had already joined forces with the Grande Armée and was attacking the Fairy Palace. She hoped that as queen, she may redeem herself in the eyes of her lover by freeing him from Pinocchio Prison. She challenged Queen Red Riding Hood's throne and wins the election, becoming queen of the former Red Riding Hood Kingdom (Bo Peep Republic). She also begged Hagetta to take her son away for his own safety and she never saw him since. Afraid of his reaction to the pregnancy and fearing the Masked Man would wish to eliminate their son-his heir-in case he was replaced or surpassed, Little Bo turned her lover in to the authorities. An unspecified time later, she fell in love with the Masked Man, "a total crook", and became pregnant. She grew dependent on the witch's powers and kept coming back to Hagetta for help. When she was young Little Bo Peep lost her sheep and stumbled upon the witch Hagetta who aided her. ![]() "Little Bo" was a grown up shepherdess that ran a large farm in the Red Riding Hood Kingdom (now Center Kingdom). This made her a liability, and it seemed genuinely hard to place her among the chaos.Bo Peep's mirror and staff Background īo Peep is famously known as the shepherd girl who lost some (possibly all) of her sheep. The Art of Toy Story 3 explains that while the series is clearly fictional, there would be a fear of Bo Peep's character being shattered into millions of pieces if she were to venture outside the house and pull dangerous stunts like the others. Fans have speculated that this is likely why she does not join the other toys on their adventures outside the house in the first two films. Moreover, in comparison to Andy's other toys that were made of either fabric or plastic, Bo Peep was made of porcelain (which should have been another deterrent of her being played with).
